Very few regard doing laundry as a task that's looked forward to; instead, it's usually considered a chore, and a rather boring one at that. Typically reserved for the end of the week, laundry day may be accompanied by feelings of dread and monotony. But, laundry day doesn't have to be so lackluster; here are some tips for making laundry day less of a chore:

Make it a Family Activity

Not only will involving the whole family help to get the job done quick, it also provides the perfect opportunity for everyone in the home to catch up on the week's activities. Once the chore's complete, celebrate by taking the hard-working kiddos to ice cream.

Put on a Film

If there's a movie or show that you've been dying to watch but just haven't had time for, laundry day is the perfect time for it. Pop yourself some popcorn to snack on as you fold, grab a pillow on the floor or couch, and get cozy as you roll socks.

Jam Out

If you really need a pick me up, make your laundry day a jam sesh. Put on your favorite tunes and crank it up - don't be afraid to dance and sing along!

Allow Yourself a Break

Once you've loaded up the washer or dryer, take a break - you can't fold while things are washing and drying, anyway. Spend the downtime to make yourself a yummy snack, get in a catnap, or go for walk.

Laundry day doesn't have to be a bore!
