If you live in a rental, or you simply have tired, old appliances, spruce them up with this simple suggestion. Invest in a roll of adhesive wallpaper from a home improvement retailer and use it to create a cool, contemporary façade on your fridge, as well as other kitchen appliances.

Give your fridge a fresh look with removable wallpaper:

Wipe it down well. The first step in this process is to clean the appliance well. Give all sides of your fridge a thorough wipe-down, and allow to fully dry before proceeding.

Measure and cut. Measure the front and sides of your appliance carefully, then double-check the measurements to avoid wasting your wallpaper. Some paper may have a measured grid on the adhesive backing to ensure straight lines and precise measurements. Cut in squares to fit the fridge.

Adhere carefully. Work in fairly small areas and gingerly remove the adhesive backing to apply to your clean fridge. Smooth the paper as you work to avoid wrinkles.

Trim to fit. Use a sharp utility blade to trim corners and to cut around the door handle. You can remove the handle, if you wish, to cover with paper and trim around the hardware for an easier application. Cut the corners at a diagonal so that you can fold them down neatly and achieve the best results!

Freshen up your kitchen with a cool, new look for old or tired refrigerators. This is easy and inexpensive to do, and it will give your home a funky look. Make sure that the paper you buy is removable, so that you don't get in trouble when moving out of leased or rented living situations.
