Buy More Scratching Posts
The best way to keep a cat from scratching things they shouldn't be scratching is to buy things they can scratch. Add some new scratching posts to your home and encourage your cat to use them by placing them in areas where your cat likes to go.
Remove The Grilles From Your Speakers
If you're particularly worried about your cat scratching up your speaker grilles, simply take them off. Most speakers work just fine without grilles, and many people actually prefer their speakers grille-free anyway. Of course, it is possible that your cat will still scratch at the woofers themselves, so be careful if you decide to take this route.
Place Something On Top of Your Speakers
If your cat loves to jump on top of your speakers, place something on top that makes that impossible. This can be a potted plant, some kind of decorative statue, or even an elevation speaker if you want to improve your sound system while you make it cat-proof.
Startle Your Cat
If your cat won't leave your speakers alone, you can always make a loud or strange noise when your cat approaches the speakers to scare it away. Cats are known to scare easily, which is why this technique is very useful. Keep an eye out for your cat and keep the noise you make consistent, so your cat will stay away from your speaker consistently as well.
