If a particular television show is a guilty pleasure, why not plan a marathon and binge-watch your program with family and friends? A TV marathon is a great way to get people together with a common interest, for a night of interaction and socialization. Invite others with a mutual interest in the show that you plan to watch, but this is not the time to invite those that are unfamiliar with the program and that could become bored.

Some other tips for your viewing binge include these tips:

Choose your show.

Whatever show is trendy and popular is a fine choice, but a better one might be a series or season of something less expected. For instance, plan a "Welcome Back Kotter" marathon, or a night of watching old "Love Boat" episodes.

Prep your venue.

Be sure that your space will accommodate the crowd you have invited over. Reconfigure seating arrangements so that everyone can be comfortable and conveniently located to one-another, the snacks, and the rest room.

Build your theme.

A gathering based around viewing a favorite show is the perfect opportunity to create an intriguing theme based on the program. For instance, if you and your friends are binge-watching "Sex & the City" episodes, set up a little manicure and pedicure station for your guests. If the scheduled show is "The Walking Dead", decorate the room and create snacks that play off of a zombie theme.

Why not enjoy your favorite television shows with family and friends? Make it a party by creating atmosphere and tailoring snacks or drinks around your program. You may find that this becomes a regular event with friends and family!
